MOLLY IRELAN, MS, LMHC

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I have a bachelor’s degree in special education. I was a teacher for six years. After leaving teaching, I began to pursue a career mental health counseling. I have a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and six years of experience. As a former special education teacher, I have a passion for working with children (3-12). I also work with teens, and adults. My areas of interest include anxiety, depression, trauma recovery in adults and children, bullying, and behavioral concerns.

I work from a diverse client-centered orientation utilizing cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavior, play therapy techniques, and traditional psychodynamic work. This diverse approach allows me to adapt my treatment to the individual needs of the client and family. When seeing children and teenagers, I work collaboratively with parents, family members, medical providers, and school staff to ensure continuity of care.
